“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake; Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” Psalm 23

A Prayer For Healing

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”  3 John 2 KJV

Do you know that God wants you well. He wants you healthy and prosperous in every area of your life. He wants you well in your marriage, in your finances, in your emotions; and He wants you well in your body. Do not be tricked into thinking that God put some sickness or disease in your body in order to punish you or teach you a lesson. There are 4 main factors that bring about these woes in a person’s life. The Word of God says that the thief, referring to Satan, “comes to steal, kill and destroy,” John 10:10 and that he, “roams around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” 1 Peter 5:8 Fear is another contributor to destruction. Job said, “For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, and what I dreaded has happened to me.” Job 3:25 NKJV Lack of knowledge can also lead to peril. “My People are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Hosea 4:6 And, of course, poor choices is a factor. One cannot smoke a pack of cigarettes a day and question God why they got lung cancer. Yet, so often God gets blamed when bad things happen to good people. God sent His son Jesus to the cross for you so that you don’t have to be sick and broken, “by His wounds, you have been healed.” 1 Peter 3:24. Jesus obtained health for all believers when He died on the cross. He obtained all power and authority over Satan’s attacks of sickness and disease during His three days in Hell. Jesus the Christ gave us the right to receive the blessing of divine health when He rose again on the third day. God does not want you sick. He wants you well, so that His name may be glorified and magnified in all the earth. Who would want to receive salvation by a god who wants to punish them with sickness and disease? God is a good and loving God. But how can we declare that He is good and loving if we are declaring sickness and disease over our own bodies? The Word says that, “The power of death and life is in the tongue, and those who love it will eat the fruit thereof.” If you speak sickness and disease, then that’s what you will get. But, if you speak life and healing out over your body, believing you receive that healing and do not doubt, but have faith, then you will be healed. It may take but a moment or it may take longer for that healing to manifest, but never give up hope. Persevere, because, “He who endures to the end will be saved.” Matthew 10:22

“Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.” Matthew 4:23 NIV Jesus never said, “No,” or “wait,” or “if it’s God’s will,” whenever someone asked for healing. He said, “I will.”

“Worship the Lord your God, and His blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you.” Exodus 23:25 NIV

Dear heavenly Father,

We come to you in the name of our healer, Jesus the Christ, the Holy anointed one of Israel, and ask that you pour out a blessing of healing over your people. By the stripes of Jesus back we believe we receive a total healing of all cancers, sickness, disease, addictions, and pains. We speak in faith and declare that we are healed. We take authority over the attack of the enemy. He is not allowed to bring us down anymore. We thank you now for our total healing and peace, most awesome God. We love you, praise you, and give you all the glory and honor. In Jesus name, Amen (so be it!)

Healing Scriptures to Stand on

“Is any one of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.” James 5:14-16 NIV

“Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.” Matthew 4:23 NIV

“Worship the Lord your God, and His blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you.” Exodus 23:25 NIV

“Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits–who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases, who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion, who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. The LORD works righteousness and justice for all the oppressed. He made known his ways to Moses, his deeds to the people of Israel: The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love. He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever; he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear him; for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust. As for man, his days are like grass, he flourishes like a flower of the field; the wind blows over it and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more. But from everlasting to everlasting the LORD’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children–with those who keep his covenant and remember to obey his precepts. The LORD has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all. Praise the Lord, you his angels, you mighty ones who do his bidding, who obey his word. Praise the Lord, all his heavenly hosts, you his servants who do his will. Praise the Lord, all his works everywhere in his dominion. Praise the Lord, O my soul.” Psalm 103
